Chesterfield Gardens, Haringey
The extension to this terraced house is below a green roof planted with hardy succulent plants with three slot rooflights protruding through this elevated ‘lawn’. The new room created is characterised by tough materials (concrete, render, decorative tiles) and a direct approach to structure and services (exposed laminated timber roof beams and lighting cables). An existing lean to at the end of the garden is to be converted into an outdoor kitchen/culinary laboratory dedicated to cooking, curing and smoking.
