Hudson House, Uganda

Preliminary studies for a villa on a plot in Gaba, Uganda, based on an open internal courtyard arrangement. A blank solid wall on the south facing elevation is broken only by the canopy and void of the entrance hallway. As dictated by the client the entrance hallway forms a pivotal space around which the kitchen and the dining room are arranged. The principal spaces (Dining Room, Living Space and Master Bedroom) all open onto a deep covered verandah looking out over the edge of a hill at the lakes beyond.
